In a Nov. 27 blog post, Andrew Jensen, MBA 11, describes Day One of the Polar Vision trek. Jensen and fellow alumnus Alan Lock, MBA 11, are 2/3 of a team trekking 600 miles across Antarctica to the South Pole. They are on a quest to break records (Lock would be the first visually impaired person to make the trek) and raise awareness and funds for sight charities.
Day One saw the team take their first full day on the ice, as they traveled just over 15 miles in windless and warmer-than-expected conditions. Excited to have met their daily mileage goal on the first ski day, the team aims to go even farther today. Keep track of their progress on the Polar Vision blog.
